Clash of Clans developer Supercell sells 51% stake to SoftBank and GungHo

OH, MY GOODNESS – Finnish mobile developer Supercell has sold the majority of its shares for a company evaluation of USD 1,5 BILLION.

They just closed an investment-round worth USD 100 million back in April, so it´s definetely not for cash-flow reasons…..

Report – Supercell closing $100m funding round

The “Clash of Clans” developer is rumored go get a valuation of USD 800 million from Venture Partners, Atomico and Index Ventures with 15 percent to 20 percent of the company to be sold. Supercell is now making half a million USD a day revenue with its two iOS titles (after Apple´s 30 percent cut).
