New countries include most countries of Latin America and some new countries in Europe and Africa – the total reach of 51 markets is now covering more areas than Spotify. Rdio´s library contains over 20 million tracks.

Online radio company Pandora faces increased competition from music streaming services – especially Rdio and Spotifiy. But numbers of registered and active users have increased 50% since the beginning of the FY 2012. Much of the growth is mobile usage.
However, the company is still not profitable – with a forecasted USD 16 million loss for FY 2012.

“Listen” buttons have been discretely added to Facebook-pages of musicians, normally sitting aside the “Like” button. It automatically opens whatever streaming service you used with the social network – or lets you choose your favorite one (e.g. Spotify, MOG or Rdio).
