Mobile games revenues are up 10% globally, to a total USD 25,8 billion – whilst subscription-based gaming continued to decline by another 4 percent. Highest grossing publishers in 2015: Activision (USD 2,9 billion), Supercell (USD 1,64 billion) and Tencent (USD 1,62 billion – most of it with cash-cow “League of Legends”). Also interesting: Though mobile games attract most of the general interest, the PC gaming market still is larger (with USD 32 billion revenues in total). Digital console games stay to be a smaller category with a total of USD 4 billion revenues annually.

CCP is one of the leading developers for VR games and Gunjack will launch on Samsung´s Gear VR platform later this month. EVE: Valkyrie is expected to launch with the Oculus Rift and Playstation VR in early 2016. The cash injection should help them to keep the leading position.
