Internet Ad Revenue Grew 14% in First Half of 2012

IAB´s latest Revenue Report shows a total of USD 17 billion internet ad revenues in the U.S. for the first half of 2012. Pharmaceutical, health-care and automotive were the biggest spenders. Mobile was the biggest gainer, growing 95 percent to USD 1,2 billion in total. Video advertising grew by 18 percent to a total of USD 1 billion.

Internet Ad Revenues Hit USD 31 Billion in 2011

According to IAB, total internet ad revenues 2011 were up 22% over 2010 record-breaking numbers. Mobile experienced the fastest growth of all categories, with a 149% up to USD 1,6 billion.

Retail advertisers continue to represent the largest category of internet ad spending, accounting for 22 percent in 2011 (USD 7,1 billion).
