IDC: Android OEMs, iPad Mini Rumors Slowed iPad Sales In Q3

Apple´s dominant share of the tablet-market shrunk in the third quarter of this year – down to 50,4 percent from 59,7 percent a year ago. Samsung now at 18,4 percent, Amazon now 9 percent.

Amazon pays top dollar to buy Seattle HQ

USD 1,16 billion (!) for Microsoft´s co-founder Paul Allen´s investment firm (from which Amazon was renting the office-space so far) make this the biggest commercial real estate deal so far this year within the U.S. The 11 buildings in Seattle´s South Lake Union area are comprising of a total of 100.000 square feet (11.000 sq.metres) of office-space.

China’s Alibaba to pass Amazon, eBay in transaction value

The Chinese giant is aiming for USD 475 billion in yearly transaction value within the next 5 to 7 years. This year, it will reach roughly USD 180 billion and its cash-cow, the Taobao-site is growing faster than Amazon and eBay combined.
